Entrepreneur, owner Christine Clement hails from Switzerland. She opened the door of Swiss Delices on Main St in Hayward during the fall of 2008. A second Swiss Delices located in Castro Valley opened in May 2009. Following her arrival in the United States Christine missed her native European breads and pastries. From Hayward, she often traveled to Berkeley Ca. the only place she could find breads and pastries to satisfy her longing. Her favorite Napoleon puff pastry, made in the European fashion was also hard to find. This brought the realization that Hayward and Castro Valley were missing some extraordinary delights.
We stand completely behind our products and believe everyone should enjoy a healthy dessert. We buy local whenever possible, use high quality ingredients that include organic flour and pesticide free or organic fruit. Our mission is to serve the best baked goods you can buy, while keeping the health of our customers in mind. Our products respect your body!
